Ahead of ‘Make in Odisha Conclave 2018’ in Bhubaneswar in November, the State Government in association with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) organised an investment roadshow in Mumbai to attract investors for Odisha.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik leading the programme launched a campaign named “I am Odisha” and assured potential investors of “unmatched facilitation support” from the State Government.

“The first edition of the Make in Odisha conclave evoked enthusiastic response with announcement of above Rs 2 lakh crore investment intent. I am glad to announce that we are organising the second edition of the Make in Odisha Conclave from November 11 to 15, 2018 at Bhubaneswar to showcase the manufacturing prowess of the State and the investment potential in diverse sectors,” said Patnaik launching the campaign.

The Chief Minister said the “I am Odisha” campaign would be a unique platform for the people to share their stories that showcase the ‘Odisha of today’ and present their vision for the ‘Odisha of future’.

“I welcome all of you to come and experience the countless opportunities that my State offers. I assure you of unmatched facilitation support from my Government. I look forward to see you all in Bhubaneswar at the Make in Odisha Conclave 2018,” he concluded.

The ‘I am Odisha’ campaign would pay tributes to architects of modern Odisha and contemporary achievers across various sectors and conclude in a grand way at the Make in Odisha Conclave 2018.

The CM also launched the official web portal for Make in Odisha Conclave-2018 ( featuring State’s robust business ecosystem, investment opportunities across focus sectors and swift facilitation structure.

The Chief Minister held one to one meetings with Reliance Industries CMD Mukesh Ambani, Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra, Aditya Biral Group chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla, Godrej Group chairman Adi Godrej, Raymond Group CMD, Future Group CEO Kishore Biyani and many other business tycoons.

Business leaders from over 300 leading Companies participated in the roadshow to explore attractive growth opportunities across Odisha’s focus sectors like food processing and seafood, ancillary and downstream industries in the metals sector, textiles, ESDM manufacturing, chemicals, plastics and petrochemicals and tourism.

During the meetings with investors, the strategic advantages of Odisha were highlighted such as the low cost of doing business, incentives for investors, dedicated sector-specific clusters and over 1,25,000 acres of land bank available for industrial development. The industrial infrastructure at National Investment Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ), Kalingnagar, food processing park at Khordha and Chhatabar, textile and apparel parks at Ramdaspur and Dhamnagar, aluminium park at Angul and plastics park at Paradip was presented to the investors.

The delegation would meet more investors on Thursday and invite them to explore business opportunities to invest in the State.
