Jio GigaFiber registrations will begin from August 15 in India which is also celebrated as the Independence day of the country. Jio GigaFiber broadband service was announced earlier this year and since then, there have been a lot of queries from Interested buyers in regards to the Jio GigaFiber registration process, Jio GigaFiber plans and more.

For the unknown, Reliance Jio has been testing the Jio GigaFiber broadband services for over two years now and the initial rollout will be in 1,100 Indian cities. On the other hand, Reliance Jio has claimed that it will offer up to 1Gbps of speed with its Jio GigaFiber services while reports have suggested that during the testing phase, the company was able to offer speeds of up to 700Mbps on an average.

In order to register yourself for a new Jio GigaFiber connection on August 15, you will need to head to the MyJio app or Jio’s official website. Once you complete the registering process after filling all the needed details, the company will confirm your registration through the mail or a text message.

However, before installing your connection, Reliance Jio will see from where they have got the most number of registration requests and then, the company will add these areas on a priority basis to complete the registration process.

While On August 15, you will only be able to register yourself for a new Jio GigaFiber connection for free, the company will send an installation team to your house to install the Jio GigaFiber router as well as Jio GigaTV connection.

That said, users will reportedly have to pay Rs. 4,500 upfront as a refundable security deposit for the Jio GigaFiber router while the broadband service will be free for first three months for Jio GigaFiber broadband users.

For the unknown, the Jio GigaTV is a set-top box which comes coupled with the Jio GigaFiber connection and this STB can be connected to your Smart TV for making HD Video calls across India along with high-definition video streaming.

Coming down to the Jio GigaFiber plans, the company is expected to introduce five new plans worth Rs. 500, Rs. 750, Rs. 999, Rs. 1,299 and Rs. 1,500 initially, with the 1Gbps plan coming in a couple of months.
