Samsung has reportedly given its Galaxy J7 Duo mid-range smartphone an additional price cut, increasing its appeal in the market. The news comes courtesy of a tweet by Mahesh Telecom, a Mumbai-based electronics retailer.
This is the third time Samsung has slashed the price of the Galaxy J7 Duo since its launch in April this year. The smartphone was initially launched at a price of Rs 16,990. It received its first price cut of Rs 1,000 in May, followed by a second price reduction of Rs 2,000 a couple of days back. Now, if Mahesh Telecom is to be believed, Samsung has taken off another Rs 1,000 off the price of the Galaxy J7 Duo.
If you add up all the benefits, then the Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo is now effectively costs Rs 12,990. It seems that the price cut hasn’t come into effect yet, as (at the time of writing this article) the smartphone is still available on Flipkart for Rs 13,990. However, it also offers bundled cashback from Reliance Jio.

As per the offer, all Jio customers (both existing and new) who activate their newly purchased Galaxy J7 Duo on Jio’s network for the first time, will be entitled to an instant cashback of Rs 2,750. That said, they do have to perform a recharge of Rs 198 or Rs 299 (corresponding to Jio’s prepaid plans) to get the benefit. These customers will also get double data once they activate the smartphone and get their (new or existing) Jio number recharged with Rs 198 or Rs 299. It’s worth mentioning that the offer is valid till August 22, 2018.
