On Friday, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Okay Sangma organized a gathering with the officials of North East Frontier railways (NEF) so as to maintain a dialogue concerning the 2 railway projects which have been sanctioned by the Centre in Meghalaya.
Regarding this, Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Okay Sangma organized a gathering with the overall supervisor of North East Frontier railways (NEF) to discuss on the 2 projects Kamalachari to Byrnihat and Byrnihat to Shillong.
After the assembly, the chief minister revealed that the assembly was organized with the North East Frontier railways officials was so as to know the main points concerning the present standing of railways projects within the state.
Chief Minister Conrad Okay Sangma stated, “As of now there were two projects sanctioned by the Centre but both of them are not proceeding now because of local concerns that are there. We would now discuss with other cabinet colleagues and political parties and take stakeholders into account and then decide how to move forward (with these projects),” Conrad Okay Sangma informed media individuals right here.
Besides this, the Chief Minister additionally emphasised that how the event of railways in a state impacts its improvement and what are the significance of railways for financial improvement of the state.
“It is something we feel will change the economic scenario in our state and is an important infrastructure which our state does require. We wanted to know if Forest department, deputy commissioners, Revenue or PHE departments are a hurdle so we review all that to ensure projects are moving fast,” Sangma stated.
On the opposite hand, the Chief Minister additionally organized a gathering with MD Nagendra Nath Sinha so as to overview the issues and the hurdles that the state is going through concerning the street projects which were sanctioned within the state.
