Mysuru: As a part of its growth initiatives and nature conservations, the BSNL has put in two Solar Power Plants in city.
While the Solar Power Station, with 120 KW capability has been put in on the BSNL’s Regional Telecom training Centre (RTTC), the opposite, having a capability of 50 KW has been put in on the BSNL Telecom Exchange Office in Gokulam.
The two Plants have been inaugurated by Karnataka Telecom Circle Chief General Manager R. Mani yesterday.
Following a path from Solar Energy Corporation of India, Maharashtra-based Resco Solar Power (P) Ltd. has constructed the two Solar Power Plants at a value of Rs.1.02 crore.
The two Plants will collectively generate 2.45 lakh items of power, which can be utilized by the BSNL for assembly its wants. The unutilised power can be equipped to CESC.
