NEW DELHI: Auto shares have been buying and selling in the inexperienced with the Nifty Auto index up 0.12 per cent at 9176.35 on Wednesday.

Shares of Apollo Tyres (up 2.74 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (up 1.35 per cent), Bosch (up 1.34 per cent) and MRF (up 1.00 per cent) have been the prime performers in the index.

Motherson Sumi Systems (up 0.90 per cent), Amara Raja Batteries (up 0.65 per cent) and TVS Motor Company (up 0.34 per cent) too have been buying and selling in the inexperienced.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 44.45 factors at 10,730.05 whereas BSE Sensex was up 214.88 factors at 35,728.02 round 11:10 am.

Among the 50 shares in the Nifty index, 26 have been buying and selling in the inexperienced, whereas 23 have been in the pink.

Shares of YES Bank, Ashok Leyland, Idea cellular, L&T Fin Holding, SBI, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Indian Oil Corp, Sun Pharma, Vedanta, Bank of Baroda, Bharti Airtel, Tata Steel, ONGC, JSW Steel and Zee Entertainment have been amongst the most traded shares on the NSE.
