Pathanamthitta (Kerala) , Nov 28 (ANI): The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on Tuesday suspended girl activist Rehana Fathima from the publish of Telecom technician after she was arrested by the Pathanamthitta Police for allegedly hurting the non secular sentiments of individuals.
On September 30, Fathima had posted an image on Facebook, dressing up like an Ayyappa devotee with the caption ‘Thathvamasi’.
Fathima, together with a lady journalist, had gone to the Sabarimala Temple in October. However, she needed to return midway resulting from protests. Later on, her home was allegedly vandalised by some unidentified miscreants.
Till now, no girl has entered the holy shrine regardless of Supreme Court’s September 28 order that lifted the ban on the entry of ladies of menstruating age contained in the temple. (ANI)
