“Unfortunately three contract workers who were injured later succumbed to injuries, despite the best efforts of the medical team,” it added.

The Vadodara City police has registered a case of unintentional dying and initiated inquiry. “Fire was reported around 3.30 am today at one of the machines at the unit. Prima facie overheating of one of the machines appears to be the cause of fire. But an investigation is on. Three casualties have been reported due to the fire, which was restricted to one part of the unit,” mentioned a police official from Jawaharnagar Police Station, beneath whose jurisdiction the Koyali refinery falls.

The firm had attended to the fire name by itself.
