Vedanta share price: Share market update: Nifty Metal index rises 2%; Hindalco Industries surges over 4%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Metal index was buying and selling 1.97 per cent up at 3178.85 on Thursday with most of its parts buying and selling within the inexperienced.

Shares of Hindalco Industries (up 4.54 per cent), Vedanta (up 4.15 per cent), National Aluminium Company (up 2.63 per cent) and Tata Steel (up 1.92 per cent) had been the highest gainers within the index.

JSW Steel (up 1.81 per cent), Jindal Steel & Power (up 1.61 per cent) and Hindustan Zinc (up 0.98 per cent) too had been buying and selling with positive factors.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 144.90 factors at 10,873.75 whereas BSE Sensex was up 511.62 factors at 36,228.57.

Among the 50 shares within the Nifty index, 42 had been buying and selling within the inexperienced, whereas eight had been within the purple.

Shares of YES Bank, ICICI Bank, L&T Fin Holding, NTPC, Indian Oil Corp, Idea cellular, ONGC, Axis Bank, Tata Motors, Bank of Baroda, BEL, SBI, Vedanta, Ashok Leyland and Infosys had been among the many most traded shares on the NSE.
